Three finalists out of the 10 European projects that received the highest number of votes in the World you like Challenge have now been chosen after a thorough assessment. The overall European winner selected by the Sustainia Award Committee will be announced at the Sustainia Award Ceremony in Copenhagen on 7 November.
The three finalists, who will be invited to the Sustainia Award Ceremony, are:
Airport Carbon Accreditation:
This voluntary programme provides a framework for airports to increase their energy efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.
Low energy houses for everyone:
This Polish housing project combines low-cost techniques to reduce energy consumption with traditional Polish building style.
Sown Biodiverse Pastures:
This Portuguese project not only increases pastures’ productivity but also reduces CO2 emissions, erosion and the risk of wild fires.
The winner will be given the chance to produce a professional video about their project and will receive media support to promote the project.
