Round Table on the topic “How Plovdiv could become a regional model for energy efficiency?”
Roundtable on “How Plovdiv may be regional model for energy efficiency” was held in Novotel Plovdiv on 21st of June 2010.
Organizers of the event are Plovdiv Regional Administration and Energy Management Institute (EMI).
During the forum were discussed opportunities and challenges that the city of Plovdiv faces at an expert level in order to achieve higher energy efficiency. There were discussed also ways of interaction between local government and business representatives in developing and energy efficiency project financing.
Only 66 municipal buildings in Plovdiv have and energy audits performed and can apply for funding under the European energy efficiency programs. During the round table it turned out that only 1100 of 6200 state and municipal buildings in the country have been audited so far.
The forum was attended by The Executive Director of the Energy Efficiency Fund Dimitar Dukov, regional manager of EVN Bulgaria Jorg Zolfelner, chairman of the Bulgarian Energy Forum Ivan Hinovski, Arch. Zdravko Genchev – Executive Director of the Center for Energy Efficiency EnEffect. The roundtable attended the new executive director of the Agency for Energy Efficiency Eng. Kolyo Kolev.
