Bulgarian Energy Efficiency Fund (BEEF) participated in the “BalREc Conference for sustainable and integrated city development, infrastructure, investment projects and Energy efficiency”. The Conference took place on 23rd of June 2010 in the town of Stara Zagora.

The executive director of BEEF, Mr. D. Doukov made a presentation on the topic “The Bulgarian Energy Efficiency Fund – Partner in Energy Efficiency Projects Financing”. Other topics of discussion were defining of priorities and perspectives for the region development in the next 20 years, after active communication between public authorities on different levels, administration, business and all other interested parties.

The conference agenda continued with review of the strategic infrastructure statement and the perspectives of its progress, the general development plan, the integrated plans for sustainable city growth, public-private partnership, the industrial zones in Stara Zagora Municipality, the energy efficiency and the regional Renewable Energy Sources, as well as the investment policy and projects, financed by Operational programs.

Other participants in the conference were the Mayor of Stara Zagora Municipality – Mr. Svetlin Tanchev, Mr. Belin Mollov- Adviser of the Minister of regional development and public works, Mr. Boyan Boev- Director of Financial economic department in “TEZ Maritza Iztok 2”, Mr. Ivan Kirchev- Principal architect of Stara Zagora Municipality, Mr. Borislav Borisov- Executive Director of National center for territorial development, Mr. Oleg Stoilov- Chairman of Trade and Industry Chamber in Stara Zagora, Mrs. Milena Dimitrova- Head of “Investments and project management” department in Stara Zagora Municipality, etc.
