“Management of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy” was the main topic of the seminar organized by the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development on the 22nd of March 2012 in Blagoevgrad. The event took place at the Municipality district administration building in Blagoevgrad.

The seminar was opened by Mr. Kostadin Hadjigaev – Governor of Blagoevgrad district and Mr. Kolio Kolev – Executive director of Agency for Sustainable Energy Development. Experts from the Agency presented their plans, management and control performed as well as energy efficiency programs that encourage the production and consumption of renewable energy.

The Agency for Sustainable Energy Development invited its traditional partners to take part in the event – Energy Efficiency and Renewable Sources Fund and Black Sea Regional Energy Center. Representatives of the Fund introduced the opportunities for financing energy efficiency and renewable sources investment projects as well as the implementation of projects.

Representatives of regional and municipal administration, of the business sector, of energy traders and the NGO sector of the South-West region for economic planning also took part at the seminar.

The workshop in Blagoevgrad is part of the information campaign that the Agency is planning for the next couple of months, which will be attended by the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Sources Fund. The aim is to promote sustainable energy development in the field. This year the seminars started in the beginning of March in Vratsa and there are 4 of them forthcoming.
